Without room to expand this interwar bungalow into an already small yard but with potential views to the waterways beyond, the only logical location for more space for this Rodd Point home was in a completely new second storey.
Bedrooms were added and moved to the upper level allowing the ground floor to be radically replanned for formal and informal living spaces. Balconies on the upper level take advantage of the views, internal void spaces connect the levels and the ground floor is opened to the outside.
Timber elements, a highly modelled form and contemporary finishes have transformed this once nondescript bungalow into a contemporary and striking family residence.
